H-1B Visa: To propose an increase in US application fee; Indian IT companies face the additional financial burden

Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta told American lawmakers that the Trump Administration is proposing an increase in the H-1B visa application fee to train American youth in trainee activities. Acosta did not give details of the proposed increase in the H-1B filing fee, from October 1, 2019, while examining a Congress Committee on the annual budget of the Labor Department for the financial year 2020, and to apply for categories of applicants. But given the past experience, Indian IT companies, which are responsible for a large number of H-1B applications, are likely to face additional financial burdens due to this proposed increase in the H-1B filing fee.
