Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) launched the company's middleweight sportsbike, CBR650R at -7.70 lakh (ex-showroom Pan-India). CBR650R will replace Honda CBR650F and it will be available in two colors - Grand Prix Red and Matt Gunpowder Black
CBR650R is powered by 649 cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four cylinder engine, which rises 64 nm peak torque at 94 bhp at 12,000 rpm and 8500 rpm on international model. For India, however, Honda has decided to go with some different state of the tune, in which the engine gives maximum power of 87 bhp at 11,500 rpm and a peak torque of 60.1 nm at 8,000 rpm.

Rather than the Honda CBR 650F, the new CBR 650R gets the 'R' suffix, which shows the change towards a sportier personality compared to 'F'. With the design signals inspired by the liter C-Class Honda CBR 1000 RR Fireblade, the new CBR 650R features new styling with its sharp, aggressive lines and extended side firing as well as a sleek rear section. The bike has full-LED lighting, and a digital LCD display, which has clip-on handlabers, which are for sportier riding positions compared to CBR650F.

The Honda CBR650R has a slipper clutch to help speed downshifting and Honda's Detective Torque Control System (HSTC) is the Traction Control System of Honda, which is switched on. Honda says that compared to CBR650F the CBR650R chassis is 6 KG light and has better steering acceleration. Suspension duties are controlled by the adjustable 41mm shovel separate fork function (SFF), which is a front-load adjustable pro-link monocock on the opposite side and rear. In the twin front disc of 310 mm, now the new radial mounted Nissin four-pot calipers are available, while the rear wheel gets 240 mm single disc with standard double-channel ABS. The 2019 Honda CBR650R will be available across 22 Honda WingWorld dealerships and gurrum across the country on a unique Honda BigWing dealership..
